There’s no question that language evolves and what once was considered appropriate can change. There’s also no question that in the era of political correctness (which has now given way to uber-wokeness), there have been over-corrections – instances where a “micro-aggression” got someone fired or an honest mistake got someone “canceled.” It’s funny, though, how those over-corrections rarely – if ever – seem to snare those on the left.

Which brings me to our current president. Joe Biden is notorious for his casual racism. Whether it’s an assumption regarding the accents of 7-11 employees, the assertion that the Latino community is diverse – in contrast to the Black community — or the seeming astonishment that a Black man could be “clean and articulate,” Biden blithely ambles his way through micro (and sometimes macro) aggressions while comfortably wrapping himself in the soft bigotry of low expectations. Worse, he does so while maliciously maligning his political opposition, insisting they’re motivated by racial animus and intent on “puttin’ y’all back in chains!”

In the latest installment of “President Inappropriate,” Joe thought it just hunky-dory to refer to Maryland’s first Black governor, Wes Moore, as “boy,” while remarking on his athletic physique, rather than his myriad accomplishments.

But, as always, I’m sure ol’ Joe will be handed a pass by the legacy media.

This “Moore to the Point” commentary aired on NewsTalkSTL on Friday, February 17th. Audio included below.
