Mopreme Shakur Facts
- While growing up, he was influenced by soul and disco music.
- Shortly after Tupac’s death in 1996, Mopreme and other members of Outlawz smoked the rapper’s ashes by mixing it with marijuana. He and his friends performed the act as a tribute to Shakur, who had referenced it in his song titled Black Jesuz.
- He contributed to the soundtrack of the 2003 film Intoxicating, which starred actors like Eric Roberts, Kirk Harris, and John Savage.
- Mopreme founded Thug Life along with Tupac Shakur, Big Syke, Macadoshis, and The Rated R in 1993. The group released their only album called Thug Life: Volume 1 in 1994. The album garnered critical acclaim and was certified ‘Gold’ by the RIAA upon its release.
