As we previously reported, Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears appeared on “Real Time” with Bill Maher and just delivered a smackdown to another guest, James Kirchick, who was complaining and going on about media “misgendering” and “deadnaming” the Nashville Shooter. As Sears pointed out, the focus of that angst over misgendering was all wrong when “this person murdered six people.”
But she wasn’t finished there — she brought it on other issues and showed the charm that enchanted a lot of people when she was running for office. That’s why people like her: She doesn’t talk like a typical politician. She talks with common sense, which most politicians seem to lack. She also lit it up when it came to drag queens being in schools, a sudden obsession of the left, and she stood up for the rights of parents.
🔥 VA Lt. Gov. @WinsomeSears SLAYS with @BillMaher @RealTimers. “I’m a parent. I’m a parent all day…I don’t coparent..Anything happens to little Johnny, you’re calling ME.” The audience — most classic liberals — applaud because she talks common sense. Bonus: she stuns in pink 👏🏽 pic.twitter.com/9BAoRyBM3L

“I’m a parent. I’m a parent all day…I don’t co-parent…Anything happens to little Johnny, you’re calling ME,” she exclaimed. When Bill Maher questioned her, he just collapsed when she instructed him on the subject, “Bill, you have to read more.”
Then, she delivered a sturdy defense of the right to carry, even getting Maher to admit to the necessity of guns after he introduced the subject of the left attacking Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) over a Christmas picture of himself and family members with guns.
Bill Maher ran into a buzzsaw tonight named @WinsomeSears
Good for him for having on an articulate conservative. Makes up for him booking Chris Sununu 🤣
She refuted the typical liberal talking points with grace, charm and humor tonight

“I got tired of seeing black people every time we’re in the media about guns it’s always bad. We are law-abiding citizens and we’re not going to give up our Second Amendment rights. And by the way, the fastest growing segment of gun owners, do you know who they are? I’m glad you asked,” she said to Maher, causing much laughter because he hadn’t asked but she was going to tell him. “It’s women. Black women. And it was a black woman who said you need a Winchester rifle in every home. A black woman during the Civil Rights [movement] and before said that. And Harriet Tubman carried a gun. If it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for me,” Sears said.
This next clip was just gold. After Maher talked about Ogles, Kirchick brought up that Sears also posed with a picture with a gun. She didn’t deny it, she was proud of it, and she said as a Marine, she knew how to use it. She may just have the quote of all time here.
Virginia Lt. Gov. @WinsomeSears: “If you’re breaking into my home while I’m waiting on the police to come, I’m gonna shoot you. That’s just the way it is. I’m gonna pray for you, but I’m gonna shoot you.” pic.twitter.com/dyGGPIirP4

“If you’re breaking into my home, while I’m waiting on the police to come, I’m gonna shoot you. That’s just the way it is. I’m gonna pray for you, but I’m gonna shoot you,” Sears declared. I’m going to guess that if she does, it isn’t going to end well for the person who tries.
This a great funny montage of some of the highlights, where she shows that talent and it’s clear that she’s won over Maher with how much he’s enjoying her.
🔥 @WinsomeSears BRINGS IT to her 1st appearance on @RealTimers. Full-on joyful warrior! I’ve never seen @billmaher enjoy a guest so much: “We should a a morning show together. We’d be perfect.” The great @BloodBrief made this quick montage. Which one-liner is your favorite? 🤣 pic.twitter.com/XnOSBKOxgc

That talent isn’t something you can teach; that authenticity is either there or it’s not. And she’s got it.
