MORGAN Wallen’s recent arrest was directly linked to hearing personal news, according to an insider.
The country music star was arrested and charged with three felony counts on Sunday night.
In the incident, Morgan, 30, was detained by officers at Chief’s Bar on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee.
The musician allegedly threw a chair from the rooftop of the bar, and was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment relating to the two police officers below and for the danger to the public, along with disorderly conduct.
However, an insider claimed that his actions were in response to the news that his ex-fiancée, KT Smith, 29 – with whom he shares a son, Indigo, 3 – had eloped with another man, Luke Scornavacco, 22.
“KT’s marriage to Luke last week just crushed him,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“Of course he knew they were engaged and eventually going to get married – but eloping just days after they got engaged?
“Morgan has never gotten over her even though he couldn’t stay faithful to her. And now another man is going to be raising his son.”
The insider alleged, “Whatever happened at that bar had to be reality hitting him in the face over losing the love of his life.”
In contrast, however, another insider claimed that the two events were unrelated, according to Page Six.
MOVING ON
KT and her new man Luke went public with their relationship in May 2023, and announced their engagement less than a year later on March 29, 2024.
The couple shared several photos from the engagement in Eagleville, Tennessee, showing KT in a long white dress while Luke opted for an all-black outfit with a matching cowboy hat.
Luke spared no expense on the ring, popping the question with a 6.5-carat diamond from Brilliant Earth, reportedly worth around $22,000.
“Why save the good things for later,” they wrote alongside the photos on Instagram.
True to their word, they waited only a few days before tying the knot.
According to marriage records obtained by The U.S. Sun, the couple got married five days later on April 3, 2024.

TAYLOR VS MORGAN
Just two days before he was arrested, Morgan came into further trouble when he name-dropped Taylor Swift, 34, during a concert.
During the opening weekend of his 2024 One Night At A Time Tour in Indianapolis, he was accused of baiting his fans against the pop music star as he spoke about selling out the venue.
“We’re the first people to do it two nights in a row so thank you for making it possible for me to say that. Imma say that ’til Taylor Swift comes to town in the fall,” he said, referring to Taylor’s Eras Tour.
The crowd started booing at the mention of Taylor’s name, leading Morgan to say, “We ain’t gotta boo, We ain’t gotta boo. I appreciate that. I know you all got my back though.”
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan slammed, “The thing is Morgan Wallen could have been grateful without mentioning Taylor.
“He baited Taylor to the crowd to inflate his ego. Men are trash.”
“Like billionaire Taylor Swift doesn’t give two f**ks what racist Morgan Wallen fans have to say,” added a second, alluding to a video in which the musician was captured using racial slurs.
