Mötley Crüe’s Las Vegas residency has been postponed due to Vince Neil’s health. In a statement shared on Instagram on Tuesday, March 4, the band informed fans about the delay and expressed their well wishes for Neil, who is 64 years old, as he prepares for a “necessary medical procedure.” They also thanked fans for their understanding during this time.

The residency, originally scheduled to run from March 28 to April 19, 2025, will now take place in September 2025, following medical advice from Neil’s doctors.

“I sincerely apologize to all the Crüeheads who were eager to see us this Spring. My health is my top priority so that I can deliver the incredible performances you deserve, and I can’t wait to get back on stage,” Neil stated. “I appreciate all the kind messages I have received; your support means more than you can imagine.”

The remaining band members, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and John 5, released a joint statement: “We invite everyone to join us in wishing Vince a swift recovery. We look forward to his return so we can take over Vegas together in September. We are excited to see all of you and thank you for your patience and support during this time.”

Originally, Mötley Crüe’s residency was set to kick off on March 28, featuring 11 shows until April 19. The rescheduled performances will now occur from September 12 to October 3, with tickets from the original dates still valid for the new schedule.

The band had announced their Las Vegas residency in October, having previously intended to retire nearly a decade ago after signing a Cessation of Touring agreement in 2015. “Clearly, we were mistaken in our decision to retire,” Sixx, 66, remarked to PEOPLE at that time.

The bassist shared, “We want to go back through our catalog and add in songs that our fans have been asking for, maybe some B-tracks and other special picks, while rethinking what an intimate night with the band could be.”

“We’re just starting our creative journey, but we want to make sure we don’t repeat ourselves. Our aim is to craft something truly special for our Las Vegas residency.”

A portion of the ticket sales from the residency will be donated to the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth.

The announcement about Mötley Crüe’s postponed residency comes after a recent incident involving Neil’s Learjet, which collided with another plane in Scottsdale. Importantly, Neil was not on board during the accident, which resulted in one death and several injuries.

In a statement from Neil’s representative, Worrick Robinson, IV, it was mentioned, “the aircraft went off the runway for reasons that are still unclear, resulting in a collision with another parked plane.”

The statement also added, “Mr. Neil sends his thoughts and prayers to everyone affected and is thankful for the quick response from first responders.”
