JUST hours before she was set to perform live, superstar Nick Minaj canceled her Louisiana concert citing illness.
Scheduled to perform on Monday night at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Lousiana, Minaj canceled last minute leaving fans in shambles.
The rapper was set to perform at 9 pm following doors opening at 7 pm, but being on stage was not in the card for Minaj tonight.
“Due to doctor’s orders, Nicki Minaj must reschedule her NOLA show tonight,” the Smoothie King Center posted on Instagram at 4:06 p.m.
“As Nicki is still sick, our team does not want to run the risk of getting others sick, and Nicki would not be able to give NOLA the show they deserve,” it continued.
“We are working diligently to find a new date, so please hold onto your tickets, and we will inform you all soon.”
Minaj had performed three days prior at a music festival in Los Angeles when she first began feeling ill, according to her own X account.
“Barbz pls send me healing energy. woke up feeling like I had Covid. Thank God I don’t,” she wrote to her fans.
“You guys are just everything. I appreciate you. I love you so much.”
Barbz, the name given to her devout fanbase, answered the call immediately, sending well wishes.
“I could tell your voice was a little off . Sending you healing energy. You still did AMAZING! Always working hard,” wrote one fan.
