Olivia de Havilland was a British-American actor and stage artist who was one of the leading actors of her time. She was the oldest living and earliest surviving Academy Award winner at the time of her death and was widely considered as being the last surviving major star from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema. On February 8, 1960, Olivia received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contributions to the motion picture industry.

She got enrolled at Saratoga Grammar School in Saratoga, California in 1922 and enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and drawing. She once represented her grammar school in a county spelling bee and secured the 2nd position.

Olivia also attended Los Gatos High School in California and Notre Dame Convent in Belmont. She graduated high school in 1934 and was offered a scholarship to Mills College in Oakland.
