According to the Supreme Court and security enforcement officials, a California man equipped with a rifle, knife, and other equipment was captured early Wednesday morning near Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home in Maryland.

After issuing threats against Kavanaugh, the individual was arrested at 1:50 a.m. According to Supreme Court spokesperson Patricia McCabe, the defendant was taken to the Montgomery County Police 2nd District in Bethesda, Maryland.

Similarly, the suspect has been identified as Nicholas John Roske, a 26-year-old from Simi Valley, California, who will testify before Magistrate Judge Timothy Sullivan on Wednesday afternoon, according to a representative for the federal district court in Maryland.

On Twitter, a photo has surfaced that claims he is the suspect Nicholas Roske of Simi Valley who was arrested for threatening to kill Kavanaugh for his abortion and second amendment views.

According to the arrest affidavit, two United States Deputy Marshals noticed “a man clothed in black attire and carrying a bag and a luggage” at 1:05 a.m. on June 8, 2022.

Roske is alleged of claiming on the Internet that he was “thinking about how to give his life a meaning and resolved to assassinate the Supreme Court Justice after locating the Justice’s Montgomery County residence.”

According to court documents, he informed the phone operator that he traveled from California to “murder a certain the United States Supreme Court justice.”

Further, Roske was taken into custody by authorities.
