A transgender person has brought to light the fact that everyone who gives birth is now a mother, and he wants medical professionals to keep this in mind.
Bennett Kasper-Williams’ son, who is based in Los Angeles, was born via cesarean in October 2020 to his husband Malik.
Kasper-Williams claims that while waiting to give birth to Hudson, he was repeatedly misgendered by hospital staff, who referred to him as a mother.
Similarly, the persistent misgendering of Kasper-Williams by medical personnel, who insisted on calling him a mother, bothered him during Hudson’s birth.

Bennett Kaspar Williams didn’t realize he was transgender until he was in his twenties, in 2011, about ten years ago. He began the transition process three years later.

After learning to think of his body as a tool rather than a collection of gendered preconceptions, he discovered he could be the person he wanted to be and have a child.
Kasper-Williams realized he was trans in 2011 and began transitioning in 2014, which included a $5,000 operation on the upper half of his body but not the button half. Bennett called the operation “liberating.”

He met his future husband, Malik, in 2017, and the two married in 2019. The couple planned to start a family and discussed their options before deciding to discontinue Bennett’s testosterone hormone medication.
Bennett’s ovaries were able to function as a result of this, despite the fact that he had not had bottom surgery. He expressed a willingness to try to conceive and bear a child.
Bennett became pregnant soon after, and he and Malik welcomed their son Hudson via Cesarean section in October 2020.
He claimed that the process of trying to conceive, being successful, and becoming pregnant had no impact on his gender identity. The only thing that bothered me about it was how often medical professionals assumed his gender.
He now takes great pride in the fact that he is both a father and the creator of his child.
