A dazed Myles Garrett is seen with a bloody wrist and a torn t-shirt in newly released police body camera footage after he flipped his Porsche on Monday near the Cleveland Browns‘ practice facility.

The 26-year-old defensive end suffered non-life-threating injuries in the wreck. He and a female passenger were taken the hospital around 3pm on Monday, but he has since been released. Her status, as well as her identity, remain unclear.

Garrett underwent further tests Tuesday and has suffered a shoulder sprain and biceps strain in addition to lacerations, according to the Cleveland Browns

The woman appears in the body cam footage, but her face is blurred as she’s being checked along the side of the road.

While she remains on her back, other first responders check Garrett, whose sleeves are visibly ripped.

‘Can you move?’ one EMT asks. ‘Is it a biceps tendon?’

Garrett then moves his arm, prompting an EMT to tell him, ‘You should be OK… if you’re able to move it.’

The EMT then helps Garrett to his feet and monitors him as he walks to determine if he’s woozy from the crash.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Garrett claims he was swerving to miss an animal on the road, but overcorrected, causing the car to flip. Neither alcohol nor drugs played a factor in the crash, according to police, and both he and his female passenger were wearing seatbelts. Traffic charges are pending, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The defensive end’s status for the weekend’s game against the Falcons remains unclear as the Browns released a statement reading: ‘Although we hope to have him back soon, his availability for Sunday’s game in Atlanta will be evaluated by team doctors throughout the week.’

According to a statement from his agent, Nicole Lynn, Garrett has been ‘alert and responsive’ at the hospital as they await word on the extent of any injuries sustained.

‘Myles Garrett was involved in a one-car accident this afternoon and was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated,’ Lynn’s statement read.

‘While we are waiting to learn the extent of his injuries, he has been alert and responsive. The Garrett family would like to thank the medical personnel that got Myles and his passenger out of the vehicle and safely transported to the hospital.’

Weather could have been a contributing factor in the accident because it was raining around the team facility in Berea, Ohio on Monday.

Garrett’s car is believed to have drifted off the right side of the road before flipping several times, according to the OSHP.

Witnesses told TMZ that Garrett complained about wrist pain and was bleeding from both his ankle and chest.

The team released a statement following the wreck on Monday.

‘Myles Garrett was involved in a one-car accident this afternoon after leaving the practice facility,’ read the Browns’ statement. ‘He suffered non-life threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital and we are in the process of gathering more information.’

It remains unclear if Garrett will be available for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Garrett is a favorite among Browns fans. The Texas A&M product and former first-overall pick has established himself as one of the biggest talents at defensive end in the NFL. he has 61.5 sacks over 71 regular-season games since the start of the 2017 season.
