A terrified teenage girl sent her mother panicked texts begging her to ‘wake up’ as an intruder stormed their home.
The family were asleep when a teenage boy allegedly broke into their Port Lincoln, South Australia, home through the front door about 4.30am on Sunday.
Once inside, the 15-year-old boy allegedly began switching on lights, then packed a PlayStation, handbag, three bottles of alcohol, and cash into his backpacks.
The 15-year-old girl woke up when the alleged intruder entered her room, and immediately began frantically messaging her mother to raise the alarm.

‘Mum wake up please,’ her message, provided to The Advertiser, read.
‘Someone’s in our house. He’s upstairs. I can’t call anyone he’ll hear me. Wake up.’
Security camera footage showed the accused leaving the house with a backpack allegedly containing stolen goods.
The mother said she awoke as the alleged robber was leaving the house.
‘My husband chucked on a dressing gown, looked down off the balcony to see the man going through the content of his backpack in the driveway,’ she said.

The accused allegedly called the taxi to use as a ‘getaway car’ which pulled into the street at the same time officers arrived.
The boy was charged with 11 crimes including three counts of serious criminal trespass, two counts of dishonestly taking property without consent, and two counts of failing to comply with bail agreement.
He faced Adelaide Youth Court on Monday where he did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody to appear in Port Lincoln Magistrates Court on December 6.
The mother said the family was emotionally rattled by the alleged home invasion, which was the second time their home was targeted in the past seven months.
She said an intruder entered their home in April, taking off with an Apple watch, AirPods, cash and alcohol, and their two children begged them to sell the house.
