A teenage girl claims two boys from an elite $18,000-a-year private school spent two hours planning to rape her because she was ‘poor’.

The former student was invited to a party on the Gold Coast in 2007 where the birthday girl’s parents allegedly supplied ‘copious amounts of alcohol‘.

She said a male student from All Saints Anglican School followed her around all night because she rejected him, before she went to one of the bedrooms in the house to nap when she realised she had too much to drink.

When she woke up, the girl claimed her underwear was ‘gone’ and the boy who had been harassing her, and a friend, were lying on either side of her.

She accused them of digitally penetrating her.

‘I started yelling and a couple of people ran in. The boys told them I had vomited and they were trying to help me. This was of course a lie and there was no vomit,’ she told news.com.au.

The following day, the girl was shocked to allegedly receive threats from the birthday girl saying her rich parents would ‘come after’ her if she reported the boys.

She quickly realised the school was so cliquey that it was normal for girls to protect boys who assaulted ‘outsiders’, particularly when the alleged victims were from less wealthy schools.

‘I also learned afterwards that the two boys had planned the assault for hours beforehand, and had first inquired with friends of mine as to what my father did for a living. They were only planning on assaulting me if I was poor, which I was,’ she said.

When she told police about the alleged assault, the schoolgirl claimed they laughed at her and told her to forget about it.

They asked if she was drunk and, when she said she was, officers said she ‘didn’t have a chance’, she claimed.

Patrick Wallas, the All Saints Anglican School Headmaster, described the allegations as ‘harrowing’.

He said the school took the allegation seriously and was concerned for the alleged victim’s welfare.

‘Now she has come forward I hope the police might get involved and investigate the matter further. We shall of course co-operate fully with any investigation that is launched,’ he said.

The allegations follow thousands of testimonies gathered by former Kambala student Chanel Contos.

Ms Contos, 22, was inspired to collate the statements because she was forced to perform oral sex on a boy when she was 13.

The testimonies uncovered disturbing accounts by former students who claimed they were raped while drunk or asleep, forced into sexual acts and fed alcohol against their will.

She is petitioning for schools to start teaching children about consent early in their education.
