Queen Letizia of Spain looked summer chic in pair of tan wedges in Madrid today as she met with members of the Spanish Association Against Cancer. 

The monarch, 48, dressed for the hot weather in the Spanish capital in a grey tweed dress that was cinched in at the waist with a tan leather belt.

She paired the formal knee-length dress with a high-heeled wedge sandals that were tied at the ankle with brown ribbon.

The Spanish royal was met at the door of the Spanish Association Against Cancer’s headquarters, by its president, Ramón Reyes.

Letizia serves as the association’s Honorary President and regularly attends meetings with the organisation to learn about its activities and projects.

The mother-of-two, to daughters Princess Leonor, 15, and Princess Sofia, 14, completed her ensemble with a white Furla bag.

She let her sleek brunette locks, with a few hints of silvery grey hairs, fall straight down her shoulders and wore simple makeup for the occasion, with a slick of mascara complimenting her golden tan.

While inside, the queen talked to the members of the council who were present at the meeting, both in person and by video conference.

Meanwhile yesterday, Letizia met with the general director of the AECC, along with other health organisations of vulnerable groups to analyze the impact of the pandemic on mental health. 

According to Noema Paniagua, general director of the AECC, the situation of people with cancer in Spain has worsened with the arrival of the pandemic, with more than 530,000 patients and family members needing professional care.
