REAL Housewives of Miami star Guerdy Abraira has called herself ‘au natural’ after surgery for breast cancer.
The reality TV star grabbed her breast implants in her hands and explained why she had to get them removed.
Guerdy, 46, shared a video on Instagram from her hospital bed on Sunday.
She said she was “doing good” on day three of her breast reconstructive surgery.
“I’ve had my breast implants in for 10 years and never had a problem with them until I started receiving treatments for cancer,” Guerdy said.
“Radiation ended up shrinking my left breast to the point where I started receiving some pain and mobility issues in my left arm.”
Guerdy said she decided to take them out and is trying to fill them with graphing as best as possible.
“It’s going to be a step-by-step process. I’m happy about my decision right now,” she said.
“What’s best for me right now is to go au natural, baby.”
At the end of the video, Guerdy held up her breast implants as her chest was wrapped up from the surgery.
GUERDY’S DIAGNOSIS
Guerdy was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2023.
She shared the news in a statement on Instagram.
“In March, I found out some news about my health. I was in St. Barts having the time of my life when my doctor called me with results following a regular mammogram checkup.
I have breast cancer,” Guerdy wrote.
“It took me a while to process it all and this is why I took a break from social media last month as many noticed.
Many of you reached out to check on me and I am thankful for your caring gestures.”
“This process is definitely intense and what I ask of you is empowerment not pity,” the Real Housewives star said.

“I am lucky that this breast cancer was discovered at an early stage – it is still scary of course, but I have love and support from those around me and that alone is the fuel that I need.”
Over six months, her treatment included a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, steroids, and 15 rounds of radiation.
KEEPING IT REAL
Guerdy stars in RHOM with Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova, Dr. Nicole Martin, Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Marysol Patton, Adriana de Moura, and Kiki Barth.
The show took an eight-year hiatus but returned in December 2021.
RHOM ran on Bravo but was canceled in 2013 after only three seasons.
In 2016, executive producer Andy Cohen said that it was finished for good.
Guerdy has been married to her high school sweetheart, Russell Abraira, for 21 years.
Together, they have two sons – Miles and Liam.
In an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun, Guerdy said that telling her sons she had cancer was the “hardest thing she had to do.”
“I had to confirm and acknowledge the truth that I had cancer first. It was such a fast whirlwind of information coming at me that I was so emotional,” she said.
“At first, I was not emotionally there to be strong enough for my boys. Everyone has their way of doing it.
“Then, it became about telling them that Mommy was not OK and, hopefully, she would be OK,” Guerdy went on.
“It was the most challenging thing I had to go through.”
