Riley Hawk is an American professional skateboarder, model, singer and musician who shot to fame after being declared to be Skateboarder Magazine‘s 2013 “Amateur of the Year” on his 21st birthday in December 2013, the day on which he turned pro as well. He has been featured in a number of video games including Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 (2015) and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 (2020) and has appeared in various TV shows like Trailer Park Boys: Out of the Park (2017). Riley has also been the frontman of the punk band Warish.

- He had been named after one of the ancestors of his father.
- Riley started skateboarding at the age of 3, with only some help from his father. When he was only 8 and a half years old, he could already perform advanced tricks including shove-its, kickflips, heelflips, board slides as well as 50-50’s.
- Unlike his father, who has been considered one of the pioneers of modern vertical skateboarding, Riley has been better known as a street skater. He has stated that he had striven to be different from his father, and do more than only vert skating, having longed to set out his own path.
- He has cherished doing the Lakai video having had a whale of a time, traveling to many places for it. He had thoroughly enjoyed going to Mexico, having visited the place only once or twice in his life prior to making the video.
