The show was then moved to ABC with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future
In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest as quickly named as his replacement
The newest clip aired on local news stations during a preview of the upcoming Fall TV schedule.
Pat spoke first, “Well, this is it, Ryan. What do you think?”
“Impressive!” Ryan exclaimed.
Vanna told the newcomer that the contestants would love him.
Pat replied, “I think what you’re going to enjoy most is meeting the players and getting to know the audience at home.”
The video was shared on YouTube, where fans were just as excited about Ryan hosting as he was.
“It is sad to see Pat go, I have watched him for years and he is an integral and iconic part of what makes this show so special. But I wish Ryan the best of luck and I hope he keeps the show going great,” one wrote.
