AMERICAN actress-turned-singer Sabrina Carpenter has been romantically linked to a few celebrities.
Let’s take a look at the singer-songwriter’s dating history.
Who are Sabrina Carpenter’s ex-boyfriends?
Griffin Gluck
Carpenter and Griffin Gluck starred alongside each other in the movie Tall Girl, and some fans were wondering whether the pair were a thing.
The couple posted a bunch of sweet selfies together and even photographed themselves in matching Halloween costumes.
However, neither Gluck nor Carpenter ever spoke out about their rumored relationship.
Bradley Steven Perry
Carpenter and Bradley Steven Perry dated back in 2014.
“[It was a] really unique way to ask someone out. [It was] like the pirate movies.
“Like they do the little bottles and they put notes in them and send them across the ocean, like one of those, and [he] put a note inside,” she told J-14 about how Perry asked her out.
It’s unclear what drove the couple to end their relationship, but they went their separate ways in December 2015.
Joshua Bassett
Fans speculated the Carpenter started dating Joshua Bassett around June 2020 when they were spotted at a BLM protest in L.A.
Two months later, the alleged couple was spotted having lunch together with Carpenter’s sister.
By Halloween, Bassett and Carpenter coordinated costumes dressing up as Sharkboy and Lavagirl.
As things progressed between the two, singer Olivia Rodrigo released her hit single Drivers License which fans speculated was a song about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Joshua Bassett.
The song eludes to the idea that Bassett left Rodrigo for Carpenter.
Carpenter clapped back and released Skin, which was an apparent response to Rodrigo’s single.
On May 11, 2021, Joshua Bassett came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community on Instagram.
Carpenter showed her support by commenting a heart on his post.
Though the two never officially confirmed a relationship by December 2021, Joshua confirmed he was single in an interview with GQ.
Shawn Mendes
In February 2023, Carpenter was romantically linked to Grammy nominee Shawn Mendes.
Though there was no confirmation of the two’s relationship, celebrity gossiper Deuxmoi had hinted that the two are dating as they were spotted out together multiple times.
However, on March 17, Mendes put the rumors to rest telling RTL Boulevard: “We are not dating.”
Who is her current boyfriend?
Carpenter is currently single.
However, as of December 2023, the singer has been romantically linked to actor Barry Keoghan.
The two were spotted having a dinner date at a restaurant in Los Angeles.
He was also spotted cheering on Sabrina during her set when she opened for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Singapore.
After her set, Sabrina was seen running off stage and into Barry’s arms in the crowd.
The two were also seen standing shoulder-to-shoulder when Taylor took to the stage.
Prior to Sabrina, Keoghan was dating Alyson Kierans — a dental nurse.
The two began dating in September 2021 and welcomed a son in August 2022.
The former couple eventually moved to Scotland before splitting after two and a half years together in July 2023.
Did she respond to Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License song?
Carpenter seemingly shaded Rodrigo in her song Skin.
In Rodrigo’s single, she alluded to a failed love with another singer, who left her for a “blonde” who is much older than her – Carpenter is blonde and was 21 years old at the time.
Carpenter hits back as she, according to her song Skin, “tells her side of the story.”
The first reference to Rodrigo’s song came as Carpenter sings “maybe blonde was the only rhyme,” giving her the benefit of the doubt.
However, she doubled down and revealed she won’t stand down while Olivia tries to “get under my skin.”
And as if she hadn’t made her point clear that the song was a response to Rodrigo, Carpenter sings “don’t drive yourself insane, it won’t always be this way.”
Bassett also seemingly responded to Rodrigo’s song a few days after its release with his Lie, Lie, Lie single.
When is Sabrina Carpenter opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour?
Sabrina Carpenter was revealed to be joining award-winning pop star Taylor Swift on her 2023-2024 Eras Tour.
The Nonsense singer joined the Grammy star for shows in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo from August to November 2023.
