SATURDAY Night Live fans were left stunned as two show legends returned for the first time in six years.
Andy Samberg and comedy partner Akiva Schaffer, aka The Lonely Island, performed another X-rated gem in the form of a digital short.
The masterminds behind the cult classic ‘J*zz in my Pants’ have created an equally as hilarious new track titled Sushi Glory Hole.
Their latest sketch sees the pair portray two sleazy suits pitching an idea to spice up sushi eating.
Samberg raps: “You can’t be eating omakase in the middle of the street,” then adds, “you head to a club, hit the bathroom stall, find a sushi-sized hole in the bathroom wall.”
A fishy treat is then fed through a suspect hole in the cubicle to a man waiting on his knees, mouth agape.
Maya Rudolph, Kenan Thompson and Bowen Yang all feature in the sketch as wantaway investors less than impressed with the dining experiment.
Samberg was a regular on SNL for seven series, ending his run in 2012.
He has featured since in a number of digital shorts, though this latest one has been a long time coming.
Fans lapped up the sushi sketch, with one writing on X: “WE GOT A NEW DIGITAL SHORT TONIGHT…LIKE A CLASSIC THE LONELY ISLAND ERA SNL DIGITAL SHORT IN THE YEAR 2024.”
A second shared: “Lonely Island popped up on my TV and i almost cried #SNL.”
A third wrote: “new lonely island on SNL, i have dreamed of this day for so long.”

A fourth shared: “an actual SNL digital short in the year of our lord 2024??! the lonely island is back!”
Its been a positive start to the long-running entertainment show’s 50th season.
Some 5.3million people tuned in for last week’s season premiere, its strongest start since 2020.
