A video showing just how messy a hotel room at Schoolies can get has emerged – and it’s sure to horrify parents.
A group of girls celebrating the end of their schooling years shared the clip to TikTok this week as thousands of Australian teenagers let loose for the annual event.
The footage captured an apartment full of countless empty bottles of alcohol, cans of drinks and a whole heap of clothes strewn across bedroom floors – while a fold-out bed in the living room had been flipped in half.

The kitchen counter was covered in packs of open food and groceries, while the sink was full of utensils recently used to cook a bowl of pasta as fuel for the evening ahead.
The girls’ bedrooms were full of piles of clothes, while in the laundry another set of clothes were seen soaking in the sink.
The dining table also wasn’t spared, and was seen littered with bottles, make-up products and one of Woolworths’ famous chocolate mud cakes.

The couch in the living room was mysteriously missing most of its cushions, while crumbs were sprawled over the carpet.

While some may be shocked at the amount of mess found in the girls’ room, it’s nothing out of the ordinary for a wild week at Schoolies.
The celebrations kicked off on November 20, and are due to wrap up on December 11.
For many it’s a well deserved break from a turbulent last year of school which saw students learning from home due to Covid-19 lockdowns.
