SELENA Gomez has sparked rumors she’s engaged to boyfriend Benny Blanco.
The Emmy nominee, 32, took to Instagram Stories on Thursday to post a photograph that fans believe is confirmation that she and Benny, 32, are taking their relationship to the next stage.
Selena shared a mirror selfie in which she can be seen wearing a dream, one-shoulder dress, with a pair of strappy heels.
However, it’s the strategic placement of a heart emoji that has fans convinced Selena is engaged.
The Only Murders in the Building star covered her ring finger with pink hearts, concealing what her followers believe is an engagement ring.
Benny can be seen in the background of the photo, which appears to have been taken in a hotel bathroom.
Selena’s caption read. “A night out.”
Fan speculation on X started soon after, with several of Selena’s followers congratulating the stars on their rumored engagement.
“I think Selena Gomez just got engaged bc why is she covering her left hand on her latest IG story?” one person wrote.
Another fan said, “that’s prob her engaged [sic] ring”
This isn’t the first time engagement rumors have erupted around Selena and Benny, who confirmed their relationship in December 2023.
Over the weekend, pop culture Instagram account Deuxmoi revealed a source had claimed that an “A-list actress and semi-retired singer” had gotten engaged.
The post shared on a Reddit forum read, “This A-list actress/semi-retired got engaged over the weekend to her boyfriend of a year.

The couple’s fans quickly assumed the source was talking about Selena and Benny, with several people reacting to the news in the forum chat room.
“I hope this is true!” one user wrote. “They seem great together.”

In November 2023, rumors began swirling about a potential romance between Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.
On December 7 of that year, the Only Murders in the Building actress confirmed she and Benny were together.
The former confessed to her fans via Instagram: “He is my absolute everything in my heart.
“He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts.”
Since the hard launch of their relationship, the pair have been seen packing on PDA at multiple events, including the 2024 Golden Globes.
On February 23, 2024, Selena said on Apple Music’s New Music Daily that Benny makes her feel safe.
“Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone that respects you.
“And I think it’s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I’d have to say overall it’s the safest that I feel and it’s been really lovely and I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”
On May 7, Dana Covarrubias, a costume designer for Only Murders in the Building, exclusively spoke to The U.S. Sun and gave insight into the couple’s romance.
“[They are] so in love. So in love. I’ve never seen her happier. She’s just on cloud nine. It’s the cutest. Yeah, it’s adorable,” Dana revealed about Selena’s upbeat mood in recent months.”
Benny has recently said that he is “in love” with Selena in an interview with WSJ. Magazine.
He said: “I was the last one to know.
“It’s crazy how your partner could just be sitting there the whole time, right in front of your eyes, and you don’t even notice, and then you have that Clueless moment where you’re like, ‘Wait, I’m in love.’”
Before they started dating, Benny co-produced Selena’s singles: Same Old Love, Kill Em with Kindness, I Can’t Get Enough, and Single Soon.
Another person noted that Selena “looks really happy” and Benny seems to “be on the same page” as her.
Rumors about Selena and Benny’s romance first began swirling in November last year, before she confirmed they were together in a post on Instagram the following month.
Writing on Instagram, she confessed, “He is my absolute everything in my heart. He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts.”
‘SO IN LOVE’
Since hard-launching their relationship on social media, Selena and Benny have made several PDA-filled appearances at events, including at the 2024 Golden Globes.
Earlier this year, Dana Covarrubias, a costume designer for the Hulu show Only Murders in the Building, told The U.S. Sun that Selena and Benny are “so in love”.
Asked whether she thought an engagement was on the horizon, Dana replied, “I don’t know. I don’t know. I hope so. I hope so. They seem so happy and in love, so fingers crossed,” she said.
The show’s co-creator John Hoffman has previously praised their relationship, explaining “it’s a great spirit that goes on between them.”
Speaking to The U.S. Sun, John also revealed Selena’s OMITB co-stars Steve Martin, 78, and Martin Short, 74, are also fond of the songwriter.
Benny, who recently published his cookbook Open Wide, told WSJ magazine he’s “in love” with Selena, adding, “I was the last one to know.”
