1. DJ Starscream, perhaps the most prominent of Sid’s multiple aliases, was derived from the Transformers (an American media franchise) character of the same name. He is an ardent fan of the franchise and has some related tattoos.
2. He was born with 6 fingers on each hand. The extra fingers were amputated in infancy.
3. When numbers were being assigned to members of the band Slipknot, he insisted on being the number zero since he felt that it epitomized filth.
4. He is well recognized for his bizarre, and often dangerous, antics on stage. In Slipknot‘s early years, he used to frequently dive off the stage and into the fans. In 2008, he had broken both his heels when he jumped 10 feet from the stage.
5. Once, during a show in England, he had jumped off a balcony and landed on a female fan who had to be hospitalized.
6. He is also known for wearing gas and skull masks and setting himself on fire during some of his performances. He had once suffered third-degree burns on his legs while performing one such stunt.
