The former Red Devils boss also felt he could not stop England’s all-time top goalscorer from having affairs, according to Campbell.
Campbell’s claims regarding the pair during Rooney’s 13-year Old Trafford career appear in new diaries, reported by The Sun.

‘Now I’m a bit older, I’m like, she’s just a mum who wants to be with her family, leave the girl alone. We all know a woman who puts up with a cheat. It’s unfortunate that hers is used as entertainment.’
Campbell has also claimed that Ferguson feared his star striker was annoying his team-mates.
