When Sir Mo regained consciousness, he rang his training partner for help, who called for an ambulance after seeing how bad Mo really was.

“I had to be airlifted to the main hospital as they thought something was going on with my heart – it was just crazy,” he recalled.

“I was in hospital for four days and it was scary, but these things happen and so I missed quite a lot of running.”

A Dental abscess

“A dental abscess is a collection of pus that can form inside the teeth, in the gums or in the bone that holds the teeth in place,” the NHS explained.
