Sirtfoods include green tea, apples, kale, blueberries but the diet is also famous for allowing chocolate and red wine and encourages dieters to eat these in moderation. It is also thought that the Sirtfood diet is one that Adele followed to achieve her incredible seven stone weight loss.
Matcha green tea powder is also encouraged for the first two weeks of the diet as it contains the same caffeine content as a normal cup of coffee but is a lot healthier and provides more benefits to the body.
Meals include turkey escalope with sage, capers and parsley, chicken and kale curry and prawn stir-fry with buckwheat noodles.
From days four to seven, energy intake is increased to 1500kcal a day consisting of two sirtfood green juices and two sirtfood rich meals a day.
Whilst chocolate and red wine are encouraged, the chocolate must be at least 85 percent dark.
Other foods allowed on the diet include strawberries, extra virgin olive oil, Mejool dates and red onion.

The diet has proven to be very popular amongst dieters because the aim isn’t to restrict your favourite foods but rather focus on specific food groups to activate the skinny gene.
Therefore this may mean eliminating certain foods that could lead to weight gain, such as added sugars and processed foods with little nutritional value.
The regime, which was detailed in The SirtFood Diet Book, is also thought to improve memory and energy levels and control blood sugar too.
The book, authored by the founders of the diet contains recipes for sirtfood meals as well as the juices.
Other celebrities who have loved the Sirtfood diet include Pippa Middleton, chef Lorraine Pascale and Jodie Kidd.
