SYDNEY Sweeney has been slammed for wearing an “inappropriate” dress to Glenn Powell’s sister’s wedding – as romance romance between the two movie stars heats up.
Last week, The Sun revealed how the actress and her fiance Jonathan Davino had decided to go their separate ways, leaving the star single.
Sydney Sweeney, 27, and Glenn Powell, 36, who have always denied being more than friends, were spotted together at his sister Leslie’s big day in Dallas.
The pair sparked romance rumours after they grew close when they filmed the movie, Anyone But You.
They then flirted up a storm during the promotion for the 2023 film.
Now Sydney, fresh from her breakup from Jonathan, spent the weekend with Glenn’s family.
But it wasn’t just the romance rumours between her and Glenn that set tongues wagging, it was her choice of dress.
The White Lotus turned heads in her baby blue dress as she celebrated with the Powell family.
The stunning gown was from V. Chapman and featured a corset-style bodice and a ruffled maxi skirt.
However, some fans think the pale colour of the dress looked too close to white, especially when the Euphoria star was stood next to the bride, 31.
It is a known faux pas that only the bride wears white, unless of course she requests guests to wear the neutral colour.
Taking to social media, one wrote: “Starting discourse but that is not an appropriate shade of blue for a wedding.”

Another added: “LOVE Sydney but that dress is too light of a blue for a wedding.”
This one added: “The number one [rule] of a wedding is DON’T WEAR ANYTHING EVEN CLOSE TO WHITE.”
This fan fumed: “Girl that is not an appropriate DRESS for a wedding.”
Another commented: “Kinda tacky to wear to a wedding. C’mon Syds, you can do better.”
SYDNEY’S SPLIT
Sydney headed to the wedding after news of her break-up with producer Jonathan broke.
A source told The Sun: “Sydney and Jonathan have split and are having time apart from each other.
“They were supposed to be getting married in May but for now that’s off and they’re seeing where they go from here.
“Their friends hope they can work this out as they make such a great couple but Sydney has made it clear she needs space.”
The couple started dating in 2018 and Jonathan went onto pop the question four years later.
The pair appeared strong, with Sydney even referring to him as her “best friend”.
Following news of their split, the actress removed her engagement ring that Jonathan gave to her three years ago when he proposed.
