RAPPER 50 Cent has sparked a feud with Big Meech as tensions rise on the set of his hit Starz series Black Mafia Family.
Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson appears to have sided with his co-producer and close friend Tammy Cowins, who is the long-time close friend and personal assistant of Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory.
Drug lord Big Meech is the co-founder of the infamous Black Mafia Family gang which inspired 50’s Starz series starring his son Demetrius Flenory Jr.
Despite meeting up with the man who put his story on TV, the relationship between Big Meech and 50 has gone sour and it seems that Tammy is at the center of it all.
Who is Tammy Cowins?
Tammy Cowins is the co-producer of 50’s television series BMF, based on the rise of Big Meech’s criminal organisation.
She was also the co-executive producer on the 2012 show BMF: The Rise and Fall of a Hip-Hop Drug Empire.
Since 2008 she has worked closely with Meech as the business partner of the drug kingpin who is also the CEO of BMF Entertainment Group.
In 2014 she called him her “best friend” when speaking about their relationship with Straight From the A.
She said: “I can tell you, this has been one of the best experiences in my life to have him as my best friend.”
Despite this and after dedicating much of her professional career to telling Meech’s story, 50 has hinted that his co-producer’s relationship with Meech has taken a major turn.
Bitter feud
Taking to Instagram on February 3, 2025, 50 compared the drug kingpin to a rat.
He shared a picture of a black and white rat along with the words “I think I’m Big Meech!” seemingly taken from the song B.M.F by his rival Rick Ross.
But in the caption to the post, the rapper detailed more about the reason behind the image.
He wrote: “The biggest mistake he ever made was not sustaining his relationship with (Tammy Cowin) her tell all Docu reveals the truth.”
Siding with his colleague, the rapper appeared to hint that Tammy and Big Meech are no longer close and that there are dark secrets to be shared.
Another post shared on February 1, 2024 by the rapper said: “The truth and nothing but the truth! BMF Who is Tammy Cowins?”
In the caption he added: “This is gonna blow your mind. Doc U coming soon. The facts are stranger than fiction.”
It comes after BMF member Blue Davinci claimed Big Meech thought Tammy was an FBI informant when speaking with Cam Capons News.
Davinci said he believed she had been an “informant since 2009” and that Tammy was the one to sign the BMF deal with 50.
He claimed that she had power of attorney for Meech and held life rights with creative control.
No public comments have been made by either Big Meech or Tammy but 50’s involvement may have been sparked by the drug lord’s affiliation with Rick Ross.
Curtis Jackson previously hinted at a collaboration with Big Meech after the 56-year-old’s early release from federal prison in October 2024.
He posted a photo with his arm around him saying: “GreenLight Gang Ultimate Hustler edition Camera speed, rolling and action. BMF BIG MEECH.”
But, Big Meech’s alleged collaboration with 50’s arch rival who wrote a song dedicated to the kingpin may have added fuel to the fire alongside Tammy’s alleged truths.
Rick Ross has reportedly collaborated with Big Meech’s for his Welcome Back benefit concert being held in Miami in February 2025.
The BMF show has been renewed for a fourth season which is expected to drop in Spring 2025.
