Republicans did such a great job early on at countering the implementation of the Dept. of Homeland Security’s Orwellian so-called “Disinformation Governance Board” that public sentiment quickly turned against it, causing the Biden White House to recently – and begrudgingly announce – that it was hitting “pause” on the whole operation.
Key in the Republican campaign to get the truth out regarding what this board was really all about was exposing the executive director of Biden’s Ministry of Truth – Nina Jankowicz, a liberal fruitcake whose disturbing history of advocating for heavy-handed censorship of conservatives has been well documented here and elsewhere.
Even before the “pause” announcement was made, Jankowicz – who resigned in the aftermath – was doing one thing the left does very well: trotting out the victim card at the drop of a hat to any sympathetic ear that would listen. In the process, she further revealed herself as a troubled individual who shouldn’t be let near any job – let alone one with the federal government – that involves giving her great power over others.
She was at it again Thursday in an interview with CNN, declaring that “unfortunately and ironically we were undone exactly by a disinformation campaign coming from folks who apparently want to put our national security behind their own personal political ambitions.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) caught wind of the interview and responded accordingly with a helpful translation of what she really said:

The thing that always gets me about these self-important types on the left is that they think if they just keep on talking, keep on pretending they’re victims of a dishonest right-wing conspiracy/”smear” campaign they’ll eventually win people over to their side, and will be able to successfully weather the storm.
But sometimes such tactics backfire, as has often been the case with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who frequently opens her mouth and inserts her foot. While the far left loves her, middle America doesn’t, which is why the GOP routinely features her and other radical “Squad” members in ad campaigns in battleground House districts where the races are competitive.
This is in part why leftist accusations that conservatives want to “shut progressives up” (especially female Democrats) are so laughable. Conservatives actually want these people to keep talking, because it makes their jobs a whole lot easier come election time.
Plus, last I checked, it wasn’t Republicans who were demanding the government create Ministries of Truth and for Big Tech giants to tighten the reins even more against conservative speech.
Just sayin’.
