Teddi Mellencamp’s Emotional Journey “How she’s Coping with Body Changes Post-Brain Surgery”, known for her role on ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,’ is heading home after undergoing surgery to remove four brain tumors.
On Tuesday, March 3, Mellencamp posted a video on her Instagram Stories while in a car, happily singing along to Skylar Grey’s “I’m Coming Home.” She shared her excitement with the caption, “16 days and I get to go home!!! Thank you to all my loves and life savers for getting me to this day!”

Once she returned home, the 43-year-old shared another video of herself walking on a treadmill, noting that she is “starting back slow.” She opened up about her feelings, saying, “Obviously very emotional watching your body change with so much medication from the brain tumors. But just trying to remember how grateful I am that I can move my body again.” With tears in her eyes, she added, “One day at a time and I’ll get back to where I wanna be, feeling my best.”

Mellencamp also shared a clip showing the bruises on her arms from the surgery. She wrote, “Bruising and swelling but I know I can do this. F— off tears. I can do hard things.”
Last week, she posted a selfie on Instagram after having her surgical staples removed from the back of her head, smiling at the camera while lying down and showing off her newly shaved haircut from the procedure.
Staples have been taken out, and I’m now ready for radiation, she shared in a post dated February 28. At that moment, she posted an emotional video showing the moment the last staple was removed, surrounded by her family and friends.

Mellencamp first revealed her hospitalization on February 12, as she was preparing for brain surgery.
“For the past few weeks, I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches,” she mentioned at that time. “The pain became unbearable yesterday, which led to my hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors in my brain that they believe have been developing for at least six months.”
“Today, two of the tumors will be surgically removed. The smaller tumors will be treated with radiation later on,” she continued. “I feel grateful to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are all dedicated to helping me get my health back.”
In the end, the doctors removed twice as many tumors as they had initially expected, and the remaining tumors will be addressed with radiation in the future.
Mellencamp’s recent diagnosis comes amid her ongoing battle with skin cancer. Over the years, she has documented her journey of having more than 17 melanoma spots surgically removed.
