REAL Housewives star Teddi Mellencamp’s family has given her fans an emotional update after she underwent brain tumor surgery.
Last week, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills favorite Teddi, 43, bravely told her Instagram followers that she had been diagnosed with “multiple tumors” on her brain after suffering “severe and debilitating” headaches for weeks.
Doctors believe her tumors have been growing for six months after the “unbearable” pain forced her to seek help.
She said in a social media post on February 13: “Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization.
“After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believed have been growing for at least 6 months.
“Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today – the remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”
And now her family have provided her fans with an update following the surgery she underwent shortly after her diagnosis.
Her sister Justice said how it has been “horrific” to see her suffer through the pain.
Sharing a snap on social media, reality star Teddy can be seen in bed hooked up to tubes and monitoring devices.
EMOTIONAL UPDATE
“Watching a loved one suffer is horrific,” Justice penned in the caption.
“I’ve tried to get back to everyone who has reached out & I know Teddi will share her journey when she is ready.
“She is by far the strongest person I know. So many emotions as I travel home today but her village is the best one I’ve ever seen and I’m so grateful for them.
“Your prayers are everything. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, Edwin Arroyave, Teddi’s estranged husband, also shared an update.
“Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover,” he penned.
He then later shared a snap of himself with their two daughters, Bella and Slate, ahead of them visiting their mom.
Real Housewives Franchises
Over the last few decades, there is currently 10 versions of the Real Housewives.
SPLIT FROM HUSBAND
Back in November Teddi filed for divorce from Edwin, but is still grateful for the support he is showing her through her cancer battle.
Teddi ended her marriage with Edwin after “being inspired” by her best friend, Kyle Richards, who left husband Mauricio Umansky in 2023.
An insider said at the time that it was “100% Teddi’s decision to pull the trigger.”
“It was not just one thing that led to it, she would never leave the father of her children over a single thing.
“It took a long time, a really long time and a lot of pain for years for her to decide that this is what was best for her and the kids.”
Edwin and Teddi, who got married in 2011, share daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, as well as son Cruz, 10.
