Teen Mom Jenelle Evans ‘hires private investigator’ to watch ex David Eason as he lives on their boat during nasty split

TEEN Mom Jenelle Evans has enlisted the help of a private investigator to watch out for David Eason as he lives on their docked boat.

Multiple sources exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun that Jenelle’s private eye went to the North Carolina marina where her and David’s boat is – and where David, 35, has been residing – at least once in recent weeks.

Both sources claimed that at one point, the PI approached David in an attempt to retrieve the former Teen Mom 2 star’s wallet that her ex had allegedly taken, though it’s unclear exactly what transpired during the alleged interaction.

One of the insiders claimed that the sleuth has ties to Jenelle’s divorce attorney and that the reconnaissance mission was at her lawyer’s request.

Jenelle, 32, referenced David’s living situation when she filed for legal separation from the 35-year-old father of three in February.

In her filing, she claimed David had been living on the boat docked in a nearby marina since February 16th.

“[David] has been spending his days drinking liquor at a bar near the marina,” she claimed in her filing. 

David left the marital home in mid-February after Jenelle learned she was getting custody of her son, Jace, 14, back after CPS had taken custody of the teen in the aftermath of allegations that her husband strangled him in September of last year.

CPS abruptly dismissed the case in mid-February, so Jenelle knew the teen would be coming back to her house to live with her.

That’s when David moved out as he had a no-contact order against him for Jace.

Jenelle’s estranged husband is facing a felony strangulation charge and a misdemeanor child abuse charge from the alleged attack on September 28th of 2023.

DAVID’S OUT

As The U.S. Sun previously exclusively reported, Jenelle made herself busy earlier this month packing up her ex’s belongings.  

“It looks like Jenelle is really leaving David this time,” an insider said at the time.

“Last week she spent a bunch of time he spent packing up his belongings, and she’s now trying to figure out how to get him his stuff without having to interact with him,” they added.

The insider said that while Jenelle has been busy trying to untangle herself from her ex, her oldest son Jace is in a good place – all things considered.

“[David] has been spending his days drinking liquor at a bar near the marina.”

“Jace is absolutely elated David seems to be going for real this time. 

“It’s a huge sigh of relief for him after everything he went through these past months.”

JENELLE’S SEPARATION COMPLAINT

In Jenelle’s complaint for separation, the former MTV star lashed out at David and brought up everything from his admitted murder of their pet dog, Nugget, in 2019, to his current felony charge for allegedly strangling her son.

She also requested full custody of their daughter Ensley, 7, and said she wanted him to have a mental health assessment ahead of visitation or custodial time.

“It is in the best interest of the minor child that plaintiff be granted primary physical custody of the minor child and that defendant’s visitation and or custodial time be predicated on a mental health assessment to ensure his fitness and ability to care for the minor child.”

Jenelle also blamed David’s ‘history of erratic behavior” and “substance abuse” for his alleged inability to parent Ensley.

She also said David’s alleged “excessive alcohol use and his short temper create a negative environment for the minor child, and as a family, plaintiff feels as though they have to walk on eggshells around defendant, as his mood swings are unpredictable and vary in their intensity.”

In her filing, Jenelle asked the court to “order defendant to submit to a psychological evaluation with MMPI testing (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory testing) at the cost of defendant so that this Court may properly determine defendant’s parental fitness.”

The former MTV star also wants the court to rule for her to legally keep the marital home, on what the couple has called “The Land.”

Jenelle said that since David has not been at the house he “has made several statements that plaintiff cannot keep him from ‘his’ home.”

Jenelle added: “Plaintiff is in need of the sole use enjoyment and possession of the property for the benefit of plaintiff and the minor children and hereby requests this court to enter an order sequestering the property for the benefit of plaintiff and the minor children.”
