Terra Horton Obituary: She Was A Victim Of Gun Violence In Little Rock Arkansas
The mother of three children was critically injured in front of Bobby Cox Bail Bonds on West Roosevelt Road across the Pulaski County jail about 90 minutes before sunset. During a bail hearing, Detective Roy Williams of Little Rock told the judge that a video of the victim showed she was standing outside her car when she got hit by a bullet.
Another person who was together with Horton then climbed into the driver’s seat and took her to the hospital. Later, she died from a gunshot wound to the chest. The video showed Guyton’s car passing near Horton with a man shooting through the driver’s window. Police recovered a firearm and three shells from the suspect’s car, which were the same size as the bullet that killed Horton. The police said there was no evidence that Horton was armed.
As per the police report, the disagreement between Horton’s and Guyton’s cousin had led to an argument between them on the night of the assassination. The shooting was recorded on a 911 call that police received from a person who complained about somebody following their car.

Where Is The Gun Violence Suspect Today?
The suspect of the incident was arrested immediately after police got the information about the killing. The case was called for a hearing in March of 2022. Police had found the bullets of the same caliber used to kill Terra from Guyton’s car.
This made the case more strong to grant a solid punishment to Guyton. The suspect is assumed to be completing her sentence as all the evidence was targeted against her.
Guyton’s Statement After The Incident
Guyton was not sure about what had happened that night. First, she told the police that she had only heard the gunfire but did not know where it had come from. After some time, she eventually admitted that she had been firing a gun at Horton while driving past her. Court records show Guyton was on probation out of Faulkner County after pleading guilty to misconduct drug charges in September 2019.
Horton also had committed crimes in the past. She was placed on probation in May 2010 after being accused of a robbery. She was again found guilty of robbery in July 2016, which sentenced her to five years on probation.
