Ciarran Stott is officially a reformed ‘bad boy’ and has decided to give up alcohol and illegal substances and join the ‘sobriety club’.
The Bachelorette star, 28, made the stunning confession in a post shared to Instagram on Thursday, and said he’s now a better man for it.
‘The biggest mistakes I’ve made in life come when I consume alcohol & drugs. So I decided it was finally time to put a stop to it all. No more drinking! No more drugs!’ he wrote beside footage of him working out in a gym.

‘No more of that bullsh*t. I turn into the biggest muppet there is and hurt the people closest to me over and over again.
‘I probably should’ve realised this a few years ago but it’s better late than never,’ he continued.
The reality television star went on to say he had ‘a long road ahead’ to become the best version of himself, but he was dedicated to his sobriety for the sake of his ‘partner, family and friends’.
Once a fan-favourite on Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette, Ciarran quickly became labelled a villain when he re-emerged on Bachelor In Paradise just months later with a new persona.

‘When I’d just come out of The Bachelorette, everything was blowing up. I was going around Australia, I was partying, I was doing a lot of illegal substances, I was going a bit crazy. I just got caught in the headlights with fame,’ he told the So Dramatic! podcast.
‘Before I went on the show I thought, ‘All this fame, money, partying, getting flown around Australia, this is what I want!”
Ciarran went on to say he started behaving differently.

‘I let it change me. I didn’t stay true to myself. I started acting different, even my family could see it. I was being distant from them,’ he said.
‘It affected my family, my friends, my relationships that I was in.’
During his time on the show, Ciarran was embroiled in various hook-ups, first with Abbie Chatfield, before moving on to Jessica Brody.
