Your source to mainline mainstream media misdeeds and malarky.
This week we had some high (low) media melodrama as BOTH National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service made a huge stink about Elon Musk tagging their social media accounts with a label reading Government-funded Media.
As a result, NPR made the bold declaration that it was leaving the social media platform, and then quickly following this decision, PBS made a similar announcement. This is a dubious decision, as I will be pointing out, considering the status of the outlets, but also because neither one has actually deactivated their accounts and I explain why this is an even odder decision.
Then, in light of the rampant misinformation out there about the government financial backing these news sources receive, I will lay out just how and how much government cash is doled out. (Do not buy into the “less than one percent canard.)
