Mint plus chocolate is a near-perfect combination, from Girl Scout Thin Mints cookies to those foil-wrapped Andes Crème de Menthe chocolates. Creamy chocolate plus cooling mint…it just makes sense.

The folks at Chamberlain Coffee, Emma Chamberlain’s sustainably-sourced organic coffee company, and Élephante, a chic Santa Monica restaurant, have the same idea. The duo has recently come together to release a limited-edition minty cold brew drink (!) just in time for the last few weeks of summer. And if you can’t make it all the way out to the West Coast before August 23, we’re also sharing an easy recipe for replicating the refreshing, buzz-worthy (literally) beverage at home with just five ingredients.

How to make a big batch of refreshing mint cold brew coffee

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better than a calming lavender haze latte, we were graced with a refreshing mint chip-inspired coffee drink that’s bound to take the crown as the ultimate drink of the summer. To make it—à la Chamberlain Coffee x Élephante-style—you’ll need: Chamberlain Coffee’s Cold Brew Elephant, muddled mint, almond milk (we recommend chocolate-flavored almond milk for a true mint chip vibe), a touch of sugar (or the sweetener of your choice, if any), freshly-grated nutmeg, and some vodka (this parts definitely optional). Then, you’ll want to combine the ingredients together to taste until it’s the perfect balance of mint and coffee.

So, why is this about to become your most beloved emotional support beverage? For starters, Chamberlain’s Cold Brew Elephant comes with four extra-large bags that can make up to 12 cups of coffee with the addition of water and an overnight steep. Big batch coffee that brews while you actually sleep? Say no more.

Cold brew is also one of the least acidic types of coffee—which is especially helpful for those that tend to experience digestion woes after downing a cup of joe. (Hi, it’s me!)

But that’s not all. Another delicious way to make homemade mint coffee

Of course, if you want to take things up a notch, we’ve found another genius way to make a mint chip latte at home. In a TikTok video by @livcakes77, they recreate the classic ice cream flavor using Torani’s Dark Chocolate Syrup, which they blend with a few shots of espresso. Once it’s nice and frothy, they move on to whipping together the cream. In a small glass, they combine milk (you can use your favorite creamer) and a few tablespoons of Torani’s Crème de Menthe Syrup. Finally, they pour the chocolate-infused coffee over a glass filled with ice and top it with the minty milk, a heaping mound of whipped cream, and shaved dark chocolate. Swoon.

Pro tip: For even more green mint vibes and an even bigger jolt of energy—without any artificial dyes—you can always use a few teaspoons of matcha (and fresh mint) in place of the mint syrup.
