Thomas McCafferty, the former employee of the postal service company Royal Mail was sacked after he refused to help an OAP.

Initially, the middle-adulthood aged man McCafferty was suspended after the incident went viral on social media.

However, the company took the correct decision months later after the incident which would have killed the 72-year-old pensioner Patricia Stewart.

Stewart, the grandmother of 2 had been lying on the ground on one of the coldest winters of 26 years asked to be helped by the fellow postman McCafferty, 51, but the request was denied.

He stated the old lady that he was ‘too knackered’ to offer his help and left her house on Falkirk stating that he can’t help her.
