Small acts of kindness can make a world of difference to those going through a hard time – like the children of Ukraine.

A truckload of over 1000 donated toys arrived in Poland to bring joy to Ukrainian children.

These children have faced things no child should ever have to witness. For their safety, they had to flee their war-torn country leaving behind their homes, friends, family, and belongings. As they adjust to life in a foreign country, they desperately need a distraction from all the sadness and violence.

GreaterGood has just delivered interactive toys to our non-profit partner, Fundacja Kooperacja, who handed them out to refugees, foster children, and orphans. Some of the toys were made in Ukraine including wooden building blocks and chess sets for older kids and adults. The heartwarming moment when the children were allowed to pick out their new toy was captured in photos. The children were smiling and starting to sing in delight as they perused the selection and found the perfect toy.

Ukrainian children of all ages were treated to something special. Our charity partner, Greater Good Charities, sent funds to Shiobhan’s Trust, a charity organization that helps Ukrainian refugees, who hosted a pizza party for the children.

There are currently two pizza trucks in Ukraine and one in Poland to not only fill the bellies of orphaned and refugee children but to spread joy as well.

GreaterGood’s CEO, Tim Kunin, was on the ground and witnessed first-hand the happiness the small gesture brought to the children. They were able to be carefree kids again.

As the boys and girls danced and sang around him, Tim said, “it was energizing to witness.”

With your support, we have been able to provide millions of meals to Ukrainians and pets. Tim visited the Krakow Food Bank and saw the countless pallets of food getting ready to be delivered to hungry people and pets. None of this would be possible without your support, so thank you!

Over 4.3 million children – which is two-thirds of Ukraine’s child population – have been displaced since the war began. All of them are frightened and need some comfort. More toys are on the way to our partners in Poland to be distributed to children in Ukraine and refugees, but we need your help to give children a much-needed distraction from the war.

Help us help make the day of even more Ukrainian children by donating one, three, or five toys here.

You can also help feed the children and their families by giving a donation here. Together we change the world.
