Former Geordie Shore star Vicky, who became known for her hard partying ways after rising to fame on the MTV show, will also undergo a health check to see if her own lifestyle has affected her body and to see if there is a genetic link that can predispose people to addictions.
Honest: Vicky Pattison, 34, is set to front a hard-hitting documentary about alcoholism after her father John, 62, suffered with the illness
The former Loose Woman will discuss growing up with her father as he battled alcohol addiction, with her now being about the same age when he succumbed to dependence on drink.
A source told the publication: ‘Vicky started out on TV as a party girl but as she’s got older she’s realised how complicated her relationship with alcohol is and has been.
‘Growing up she saw the dark side of alcohol addiction first hand so she wants to understand the struggles her family went through.
‘She has seen the results that drinking alcohol has on her own behaviour and freely admits that she does not like who she is when she is drunk.’

It comes after Vicky said she used alcohol to ‘quell’ her insecurities after she won I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2015.
She admitted had ‘imposter syndrome’ and worried her career in the limelight would ‘go away’.
During an appearance on Lorraine in January, she said: ‘To quell the insecurity I drank, it was a scary and dark time for me. Everyone goes through certain things in life and it makes you.
‘I have dealt with my fair share of struggles but now I’m on my way to being a healthy and happy woman. And I want to help other people feel the same.’
She said she was downing 10 drinks a day following her triumph on the ITV jungle reality show.

The star said she is ‘determined’ not to end up in the same situation as her father John who has been in and out of rehab.
She told The Sun: ‘I had everything I ever wanted. The public liked us, I’d left behind Geordie Shore and I had this new shiny career.
‘But I was convinced that people would realise I wasn’t anything special and it would all be taken away and I was turning up late for jobs. I don’t think I ever turned up drunk, I always slept, but I was not in a fit state to work.
‘When you’re doing talk shows you want to be witty and warm, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, not still shaking off the lethargy of five gin and tonics.

Meanwhile, Vicky has frozen her eggs as she says she doesn’t want to put too much pressure on boyfriend Ercan Ramadan to have a baby as he is only 28.
The media personality says she has chosen the ‘cougar life’ so she can enjoy her thirties for the time being.
She explained: ‘I’ve put baby dream on ice I haven’t mourned the loss of my 20s at all… they were completely taken over by feeling insecure, not being confident in my body, feeling lost and not knowing who I could trust.
‘Now I am in my 30s, I am going from strength to strength – I know myself and I have contentment.
‘I have a man who loves me just as much in my baked bean-stained trackies as when I am dolled up to the nines, having spent three hours in hair and make-up.
She said: ‘I have decided to freeze my eggs. Ercan is only 28 and I have chosen the Cougar life!’
‘But at 34, I have decided to freeze my eggs. Ercan is only 28 and I have chosen the Cougar life!’
Vicky found love with Ercan in 2019 just months after her split from John Noble and they have been together ever since.
But she hasn’t always been so lucky with men in the past – she had a rocky on-screen romance with Ricci Guarnaccio during her time on MTV show Geordie Shore before she went on to date ice hockey player James Morgan, who was later arrested for robbery.
She was also linked to former The Only Way Is Essex star Kirk Norcross and Ex On The Beach star Stephen Bear, who she described as ‘vile, horrendous’ and ‘conniving’ after she found him to be unfaithful.

Her engagement to John Noble broke down when she discovered he he had been getting close to other women in Dubai.
Vicky says she was drawn to the wrong men, who she was never able to ‘fix’, with the unions just leaving her ‘broken’.
‘I wanted to be loved so much that I repeatedly fell too hard and too fast for the wrong people,’ she said.
