Satsyuk, who served as Deputy Chairman of Intelligence of Ukraine during that time, and Viktor had dinner together. But, it was later found that Viktor was served a TCDD, one of the most lethal dioxins.
After this incident, Satsyuk fled to Russia and was given Russian citizenship which prevented him from being extradited back to Ukraine.
An,d on the other hand, Viktor, fortunately, survived only due to excellent medical care and a hardy constitution. But the effect of poison led his handsome face to be horribly scarred for the rest of his life.
Some online users even shared that the poisoning of Ukrainian presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko in 2004 revealed that Vladimir Putin will be posed a threat to the world.
