As I’ve said before, if one wanted to draw up the perfect portrait of what the rabid pits of the Democratic fever swamps actually look like, all they would need to do would be to watch one of any number of mind-numbing episodes of “The View,” where self-loathing wokesters and acceptance-seeking Never Trumpers open their mouths on a daily basis and let the inevitable ignorance, stupidity, and hate-filled intolerance for differing viewpoints spew forth.
Monday was little different from all the rest, but there was one key difference, most notably, how they inadvertently revealed to their left-wing audience what the biggest problem with Vice President Kamala Harris is.
It all started once the co-hosts began discussing Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s eyebrow-raising comments about Harris from January where Warren would not explicitly endorse her as Joe Biden’s running mate in 2024.
“I really want to defer to what makes Biden comfortable on his team,” Warren said at the time. “But they need — they have to be a team, and my sense is they are — I don’t mean that by suggesting I think there are any problems. I think they are.”
Since that time, Warren has reportedly attempted to smooth things over with the veep – but hasn’t had any luck in getting her to return her calls, according to a Sunday story from CNN.
During the discussion on “The View,” so-called “conservative” Alyssa Farah Griffin made the mistake of questioning Harris’ supposed accomplishments as VP, surprisingly raising some good points along the way about what she’s failed to do.
Her racist colleague Sunny Hostin, of course, did not take it well, and first predictably boiled down most criticism of Harris to the fact that she’s a black woman and then later tried and failed to list anything noteworthy that Harris has done over the last two years of her time as Biden’s second in command:
Griffin added, “I think there’s some concern about the lack of policy accomplishments she’s made as vice president.”
Her words didn’t sit right with Hostin, who immediately jumped in to defend Harris.
“I’m surprised that there’s concern,” Hostin said. “I think it has a lot to do with that she’s a Black woman. Black women get everything done. We’ve saved this country’s democracy for centuries.”
Griffin cut in to say, “She’s obviously amazing, but what specifically?”
Hostin, clearly taken aback, paused before replying, “Well, where shall I start?” and began listing off Harris’ past experience in the Senate and serving as Attorney General of California. Griffin clarified, “But no, I mean as vice president.”
Hostin then bizarrely mentioned the “Inflation Reduction Act” before pivoting to former Vice President Mike Pence, as if that excused Harris’ multiple failures including her biggest ones on the border crisis.

Faux conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin notes the border situation has only gotten worse under Kamala’s stewardship. But she whines that the Biden administration “isn’t setting her up for success.”

Race-baiter and racist Suny Hostin claims the opposition and angst about Kamala are because of her skin color.
“Black women get everything done. We’ve saved this country’s democracy for centuries,” she proclaimed.

Later, co-host Sara Haines went there on Harris’ penchant for gaffes, flubs, and awkward moments, but Ana Navarro swooped in and tried to rescue Harris by falsely claiming that she was being taken out of context:
Sara Haines points out the video evidence of Harris stumbling through basic sentences and Ana claims they’re taken out of context.
“You could take Winston Churchill out of context and make a video and a clip and a loop. They do it with us every day,” she screeched. pic.twitter.com/weDEku0uVk— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) March 13, 2023
Hostin listing off Harris being California’s Attorney General and then their Senator as significant achievements is absolutely comical when one considers Harris’ infamous history in the state. I make no apologies for this inconvenient reminder for Sunny Hostin, but Harris rose to prominence in California politics after she began an affair with then-State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown, a very powerful Democrat at the time who also happened to be a married man.
When she declared her intentions to run for president in 2019, Brown point-blank admitted he pulled some strings back during their 1995 affair to help her land some pretty sweet gigs that helped her climb the ladder to success.
And recently, the Washington Post pointed to Democratic critics of Harris who suggested her Senate win was not all that impressive, and noted that her presidential run was a miserable failure.
“In 2016, she won her Senate seat against weak opposition, they say,” the paper noted. “In 2019, her presidential run ended before a single ballot was cast, doomed by an uneven performance on the campaign trail, weak support, faltering resources and turmoil among her advisers.”
The second-guessing going on in Democratic circles over Kamala Harris is going on for two reasons: one part ambition (in Warren’s case), and the other part genuine concern that she’s not up to task in the event Biden bows out.
The only person Harris has to blame for the uncomfortableness among Democrats regarding her time as vice president is Harris herself. From the start, she has been her own worst enemy and continues to be, no matter how much she and her team try to blame Joe Biden behind the scenes. She has never been particularly good at what she does, and the only thing her elevation to the vice presidential role has done for her is to show on a national stage what Californians learned the hard way about her long ago.
