Snacking is often not recommended when looking to slim down because snacks tend to be processed and high in calories. However, it can help slimmers stay on track and Dr Mosley has shared some healthy snack ideas.
Limiting carb-heavy snacks and ones high in sugar can help weight loss and keep slimmers on track.
One food that Dr Mosley recommends is miso soup.
He said: “At 21 calories a serving, miso soup is very nutritious, warming, tasty and comforting.
“It is a great way to fill up between meals. It is also very convenient to pop a sachet into a work bag – as all you need to do is add boiling water.”
Slimmers could also make a homemade dip to accompany the vegetable sticks or a low-fat houmous.
For those with a sweet tooth, berries are an excellent option to snack on.

Blueberries are not only high in antioxidants but they are also super low in calories, providing the perfect snack for those looking to lose weight.
Dr Mosley explained that a 100g serving of blueberries comes in at around 57 calories.
He added: “Nuts are a great source of protein and fibre. However, I would advise avoiding salted to sweetened nuts, which can be moreish.
“Two almonds equals 28 calories while seven walnut halves equal 90 calories.”
Whilst nuts may seem high in calories, they can keep you fuller for longer meaning you can eat less of them.
Dr Mosley also advised slimmers to brush their teeth as soon as they have had their last meal of the day.
He explained that this will help to keep away from all the tempting snacks.
