Dr Rosemary Leonard, an NHS GP and medical journalist, is flabbergasted that medical centres have been waiting for their batch of coronavirus vaccinations since December 28. The delays keep on mounting, as the supply of jabs has been postpones to January 15.

In the late evening on Tuesday, January 5, Dr Rosemary Leonard posted on Twitter about the diabolical situation.

“Covid vaccination – from the front line. My group of practices was initially told we would get our first delivery on 28th December.

“Then 4th Jan. Then 11th Jan. Now we are ‘sixth wave’ and it will be 13th, 14th or 15th Jan. We are raring to go, but have no vaccines. WHY?”

On Wednesday, January 6, Dr Leonard stated “loads of practices across the country are in same position”.

Dr Leonard added it’s a “real postcode lottery for patients”, suggesting there could be “central supply issues”.

“Would be good to be given a truthful explanation,” she urged.
