Amanda Makar has not made many appearances in the media after “Port Protection”. She didn’t appear in the latest season of “Port Protection”. It’s common for cast members to change between seasons and this can happen for all sorts of reasons.

Someone might be just done with the show, or decide not to return for their own personal reasons, the producers might decide that a cast member’s storyline has concluded or that the person isn’t interested enough to bring it back, and so on.

He is the proud owner of The Margaret, a 100-year-old finishing vessel. He, unfortunately, died in a fire at his house on March 25, 2021.

Mary Miller, who grew up in a town had an instinctive urge to escape the world of technology and high-density metropolis, which led to her relocating to Port Protection in search of a more simple life. She’s a great hunter who knows how to use a gun and enjoys going on hunts and adventures alone.

Litzi Botello is a prominent cast member of the program who has been working at Port Protection for nearly 40 years. She has a tragic past, having lost one of her hands in a car accident. She also lost her boys, one of whom was killed in a car accident. Gary is a buddy of hers and she frequently joins him on his fishing expeditions.

Amanda Makar bid her farewell at the end of season two of Port Protection. However, viewers were hopeful it wasn’t her final goodbye on the show.

After season two wrapped up in 2016, the franchise returned with a spin-off series Life Below Zero in 2018. and returned in 2020 with many changes to the cast.

One of the changes was the disappearance of fan-favorite Amanda Makar.

During the show, Amanda quickly became a fan favorite for being independent and strong. All over the nine episodes, she was in, she managed to buy her own skip, and worked day and night to pay off her debts for it.

Port Protection is located on Prince Wales Island, Alaska in the northwest part. The region is surrounded by the icy waters of the North Pacific. Port Protection homes about 100 people who live on the edge of living by hunting, fishing, trapping, cultivating their own food, and constructing shelter.

Moreover, the territory lacks a government or law enforcement, their living standards are much more perilous. It is a small Alaskan town with a sparse number. The country is harsh and cruel, with snow covering the area for most of the year.

People must do things the old-fashioned way because there are no sophisticated health or technical facilities nearby. The fact that Port Protection is surrounded by an icy sea adds to the difficulty of existence.
