Chris was born on February 22, 1974, according to his biography.
From 2004 to 2012, he hosted The Chris Moyles Show on BBC Radio 1 and from 2009 to 2012, he hosted Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night on Channel 4.
Moyles has worked for a number of radio stations, including Radio Luxembourg and Capital FM (under the pseudonym of Chris Holmes). Moyles joined BBC Radio 1 in July 1997 and remained there until September 2012.
He hosted the early breakfast show, a Saturday morning show, and the drive time show from September 1998 to December 2003, before returning to host the breakfast show from 5 January 2004 to 14 September 2012.
Until September 2009, he was the longest-serving breakfast broadcaster on BBC Radio 1.
Moyles has become famous for his maverick bad-boy broadcasting style on BBC Radio 1 and has been entangled in various controversies, including charges of sexism and homophobia, as a result of his statements on the air and in the press.
