Who is Artiz Alvarez?
Artiz Alvarez, 20, and Chanz Lee Yarbrough, 21, both of Los Angeles, face multiple charges in connection with the April 20 home invasion, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Just before the incident, the four tourists, all men from Northern California, arrived at their Airbnb from a restaurant. As they got out of their car around 12:45 a.m., three suspects approached them and held them at gunpoint, the LAPD said.
Two of the suspects were armed with pistols and the third had a rifle, police said. One victim was pistol-whipped and forced into the home where they were ordered to the ground as the home was ransacked, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The $75,000 price tag of the stolen belongings includes a luxury watch, a Mercedes key fob, phones, designer clothes and foreign currency, police said.
A short time after the robbery, photographs were taken at 1:15 a.m. m. When officers responded, they discovered a trail of blood from a sidewalk to a condominium door. SWAT officers were called and entered the empty unit.

Charged
He is charged with four counts each of robbery kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon and one is dependent on being an ex-convict with a weapon. At the time of the crime, Alvarez was out on bail for a special robbery, police said. Yarbough is charged with 4 counts each of robbery kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.
All are being held on $4 million bond. The third suspect has not been recognized.
Investigation
Investigators obtained a search warrant and found most of the items stolen from the previous robbery found in the condo unit where one of them lived, the Los Angeles Police Department said. Inside, officers found three weapons, two semi-automatic pistols and an “AR pistol,” according to a police news release.
At 2:15 a.m. That same day, Yarbrough went to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his left leg. He told authorities that someone shot him while he was in Hollywood. Investigators decided that by chance another of the suspects shot him while they were unloading stolen items from a car.
After taking pictures, the three suspects took the stolen items back to the condominium and took Yarbrough to a hospital. Alvarez was arrested on April 25 in reference to the robbery.
