Who is Christian Jeffers ?
The assailant accused of beating an Asian man with a hammer in a Manhattan subway station was enraged at police officers escorting him to the central reservation after he was charged with three hate crimes on Wednesday.

Jeffers made a scene Wednesday night, lashing out at two officers who took him to Manhattan headquarters before his arraignment.

“We’re trying to live our lives the best we can, you know, and it’s unfortunate that we have to face all of these adversities, along with all of life’s struggles,” the victim said. “It’s just unnecessary conflict and it sucks.”
“It’s unfortunate, you know, the city is the way it is,” she added. “Obviously, something has to happen, something has to change.”
