Arrested

Zahed, 42, was arrested for his alleged involvement in an underworld murder in 2014, and his arrest came just three months after he was shot 10 times in a gang hit that claimed his life. of his brother.

Several rubber bullets were fired at his black BMW and several large holes were seen in the partially broken rear windows.

A NSW Police spokesman said Zahed was taken to Surry Hills Police Station after being arrested.

Youssef Assoum Death

His arrest is believed to be linked to the death of Youssef Assoum, who was found bleeding to death in south-west Sydney just 50 meters from a hospital.

Assoum, 29, was discovered by an off-duty doctor with a gunshot wound to his right thigh and multiple stab wounds to the head.

The doctor tried to save Assoum but died from his injuries on arrival at the hospital.

A NSW Police spokesman confirmed that a 42-year-old man was arrested by officers in Edgecliff just before 5 p.m. m. Sunday.

“As part of an ongoing investigation, Tactical Operations Unit officers arrested a 42-year-old man during a vehicle stop on New South Head Road in Edgecliff at around 4:50 p.m. today (Sunday),” the spokesman said.

He has been taken to Surry Hills Police Station.

Zahed was shot alongside his brother Omar at a gym in western Sydney in May and miraculously survived.

“Welcome back Tarek ‘hard2kill’ Zahed,” Meehan wrote alongside the photo shared on Instagram.

In May, a masked gunman broke into the Bodyfit Gym in Sydney’s Auburn and fired more than 20 bullets into the gym.

Zahed, also known as ‘Balenciaga Bikie’, was rushed to hospital in critical condition and was taken to surgery with gunshot wounds to his head and body, including one that pierced his eyeball. Omar, 39, died at the scene.

Doctors were amazed at his quick recovery which saw him released from hospital less than two months after a lengthy discussion about whether his limbs would need to be amputated.

Despite having been shot ten times, there were no visible scars on the face of the tough man on the bike in the photo.

A source said that he completely lost sight in his right eye, which left him virtually blind as he had reduced vision in his left eye.

“He had an incident years ago that means the vision in his left eye is only 20 to 30 percent,” the source said.

“So, since he’s probably blind in his right eye now, he’ll be almost completely unable to see.”
