Who is Dandrae Martin ?
A suspect has been arrested in Sunday’s mass shooting in Sacramento, California, that left six dead and a dozen wounded, police said.
Dandrae Martin, 26, was booked on charges of assault and unlawful possession of a firearm, Sacramento police said.
Investigation
As part of her investigation, authorities issued search warrants at three residences, in which at least one handgun was found, police said. The surviving victims have minor to critical injuries.
The shooting occurred in the bustling center of the state capital city early Sunday morning, shortly after the last call. Investigators believe multiple shooters opened fire in the wake of a major fight.
During preliminary processing of the scene, police said, investigators located at least three buildings and three vehicles that had been hit by gunfire. Investigators recovered more than 100 bullet casings.
More than 100 video or photo files have been provided to investigators through the community evidence portal. The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office will review all evidence to determine appropriate charges, police said.

Martin was booked in Sacramento County on two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one felony count of being a convicted person carrying a loaded firearm, according to online records from the sheriff’s office.
It was not immediately clear Monday afternoon if Martin had retained an attorney.
Martin also has an outstanding warrant from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. She is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday afternoon, according to jail records.
Charged
Martin pleaded guilty in October 2014 to a misdemeanor charge related to a domestic violence case, a spokesman for the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office said. Martin was sentenced to 30 days in custody and 36 months probation. He violated two terms of probation, and a $5,000 arrest warrant was issued in October 2015, the spokesman said.
Victims
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the victims Monday as 29-year-old Devazia Turner; Joshua Hoye-Lucchesi, 32; Sergio Harris, 38; Johntaya Alexander, 21; Yamile Martinez-Andrade, 21; and Melinda Davis, 57.
