Hollywood star Dev Patel is one of the witnesses of a horrific stabbing outside a gas station in Adelaide.
The Slumdog Millionaire star was seen speaking to police after a woman allegedly stabbed a man in the chest around 8:45 p.m. m. Monday night.
Witnesses had tried to separate the couple moments before the 34-year-old woman allegedly stabbed the 32-year-old man in the street.
The English actor is understood to be spending time in South Australia with his girlfriend and Hotel Mumbai co-star Tilda Cobham-Hervey.
Arrested and Charged
The man was treated by paramedics at the scene near Gouger Street before being rushed to Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault causing injury.

The 34-year-old man from Park Holme, southwest of the city, was denied bail to appear in Adelaide Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Police said the couple know each other and it was not a random attack.
Patel and Cobham-Hervey met in June 2016 while filming the true-story drama Hotel Mumbai.
The Australian-American thriller is based on the 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai about the attacks on the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India in 2008.
