Who is Jarvis Jai Farrier?
Jarvis Jai Farrier, 21, was just 18 years old when he stabbed 17-year-old Harrison Geppert in the back in September 2019.

Farrier was with two other people when he purchased cannabis at Varsity Lakes that day.
As they were leaving, they saw Mr. Geppert walking with a friend in the direction of the same drug dealer.

The wound was not deep, penetrating just over 5 cm, but enough to puncture Mr. Geppert’s left lung before the teenager collapsed and died of cardiac arrest.
The farrier called for reinforcements and the two groups cornered Mr. Geppert, blocking both ends of the street.
One of Farrier’s friends was the first to confront Mr. Geppert, accusing him of stealing a pair of shoes.
The ambush quickly escalated and Farrier ran to join him, arming himself with a military sword before stabbing his former friend once in the back.
The wound was not deep, penetrating just over 5 cm, but deep enough to puncture Geppert’s left lung before the teenager collapsed and died of cardiac arrest.
Farrier and his friends fled the scene before turning themselves in to police later that night.
He told police that he believed his former friend was armed with brass knuckles, but that he never intended to kill the teenager, the younger brother of former Hells biker Angel Ben Geppert.

The farrier had bought the knife “in case he needed it” and told an undercover officer that the knife “didn’t even go that far” and “shouldn’t have killed him.”
“I didn’t even want to pull out a knife, I just wanted to hit him,” he admitted to the officer.

In a victim impact statement read in court at a Monday hearing, Geppert’s mother, Lisa, said she could never forgive her son’s killer and rejected his letter of apology.
‘Forgiveness, Jarvis, is something you will never get from me. I could never forgive someone who took my son’s life,” Ms. Geppert’s statement read.
‘I’ve been living a nightmare that I can’t wake up from.
‘My 17 year old son was left alone in a park to die an excruciating and painful death and you ran away. You were a coward.

Defense attorney David Funch said Farrier was “deeply sorry” and turned himself in to police when he realized Geppert was dead.
Judge Elizabeth Wilson said Farrier did not try to stop the fight, but instead stabbed Geppert in the back.
You showed no remorse. You left it there. Just a few hours later he turned himself in to the police,” Judge Wilson said.
‘Mr Geppert was not the protagonist in any way, shape or form. He was quietly going about his business.
Farrier was sentenced to nine years in prison, to be eligible for parole on September 3, 2022.
