Who is Jonathan Dischner ?
A sword-wielding man killed two people and slashed another in a rampage at an Indiana home, police said.
Jonathan Dischner, 37, used a “long sword” Sunday night to attack three people at a Marion home that has nine sleeping units, the Marion Police Department said.
Arrested and Murder
Dischner, who lived in one of the house’s apartments, fatally stabbed two other men who lived in separate units there: Michael Sandlin, 34, and Dennis Johnson, 63, police said. The 65-year-old homeowner had “multiple lacerations” and was hospitalized, police said in a news release.
“It is unclear what started the altercation as the suspect did not speak to detectives,” the statement said.
Officers had been called to the home on West First Street around 6:41 p.m. in a report of a man yelling at the police. Dischner was still on the scene when officers arrived and was arrested on two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Victims
Jonathan Dischner lived in the same building as the victims – Michael Sandlin, 34, Dennis Johnson, 63, and the 65-year-old owner of the house.
Neighbor Wendell Maggard told Fox 59 the night of the attacks that he was shocked by the attack, saying “things like this don’t happen all the time.
“The house across the street, I didn’t know them personally, they didn’t cause any ruckus, they didn’t bother anybody,” he said. “It’s crazy to know what just happened across the street, within your sight.”
